Laboratory testing

A laboratory test is not a substitute for a medical examination, so in all cases only a doctor can give a proper diagnosis and treatment.

The use of modern laboratory diagnostics is essential for a rapid and accurate diagnosis. It is one of the most commonly used complementary diagnostic methods to diagnose diseases.

What is a laboratory test?

Laboratory tests play an essential role in the early detection of diseases. In addition to a nearly complete spectrum of clinical chemistry, hormone and tumour marker tests the laboratory performs a large number of world-class molecular biology determinations.

Our customers can choose from hundreds of different laboratory tests, covering almost all branches of laboratory diagnostics. The general laboratory is a comprehensive blood and urine test that can provide information about our organs.

There are also several requests for a complete blood test, which is a slightly different type of test. Interpreting laboratory tests involves comparing the patient's results with the reference range of the test.

Main categories of laboratory tests

  • blood tests
  • urinalysis (general examination, microscopic examination, bacteriological examination)
  • flu test
  • faecal examination (parasitological examination, digestion, bacteriological examination)
  • skin scraping (microscopic examination of parasites, bacteriological and fungal culture)
  • examination of other body secretions (e.g. eyes, ears, nose, throat, wound, vagina, prostate)

We would like to inform you that you can make an appointment for a blood test on Fridays from 8:00 to 12:00. For all other laboratory tests, you can drop off your sample at our colleagues during our opening hours. Thank you for your understanding.
